The project aims to bridge the gap between current 2D device users into familiarizing 3D interaction with their daily used software to migrate them into using 3D devices (VR headsets and AR glasses).

This software allows users to see their usual content on moblie devices coming out into their reality with the three dimensional visual orientation. Without buying a 3D TV, purchasing 3D produced films, wearing VR headset, or only see augumented reality in certain apps. AVR filter is a lightweight algorithm on mobile screens that runs across all platforms to bring the internet world into the real life.

Digitality of 3D
Throughout the guidance of my NYU class “Theory of Digital”, I investigated the core concept of making such technology which I called the “The Digitality of 3D”. This concept examines why we create in 3D, why mobility matters, and the importance of 3D interactions. I also made an animation to illustrate these ideas. In fall 2024, inspired by NYU’s entrepreneurial energy, I decided to elevate my project by launching a startup. Along the way, I gather a team of talented individuals who shared my vision. Together, we entered multiple competitions, gaining recognition from NYU's Entrepreneur Institute as a promising venture. Our efforts were rewarded with the exclusive "Most Interviews Team" award at Startup Bootcamp. Later, we clinched the "Most Resilient Team" title—the top honor at Startup Sprint—competing against 15 other finalist teams.

3D movies, 3D TVs, VR headsets, AR apps. All these services do their job very well - to provide immersive experiences. But why do we not see everyone already using it? Two reasons: high cost and limited content. So, we are here to lower the bar of accessibility of XR services through price and content - to run on your local phone, tablet, laptops (no need to purchase extra physical device) and elevate the digital experience of your desired content.

AVR Filter
This is a virtual 3D scene within YouTube 360. The software is able to convert 360 scene and static digital 3d scene (three.js). The color of the scene is distorted with the Anaglyph Effect, so users are able to see a 3D UI when they wear Anaglyph glasses.

The software adapts into a google chrome extension and convert anything on your current browser into 3D anaglyph effect.
AVR's 3D Power
Our company AVR, is a pixel algorithmic app that revolutionizes 2D visual content on the current internet to fly out from your screen into your 3D reality for Twitch exploration game stream viewers who are struggling with real-time engagement during the streamer’s live session to have a more enjoyable and immersive experience. Moreover with our app, viewers are able to use hand gesture to orientate the angles of the virtual space as if it a real 3D place right in front of them.
